Am I too old (or too young) to learn to play music?
You can learn to play music at any age! We teach seniors, adults and children starting at 4 years old.
How much do piano lessons cost?
Private piano lessons are $120/month (weekly 30 minute lesson) or $160/month (weekly 45 minute lesson).
Group piano lessons are $100/month (weekly 45-60 minute lessons).
Group piano lessons for adults are $25 per session.
What is the difference between group and private lessons?
Private lessons are a good fit if you have a specific goal to achieve and want faster results.
Group lessons are excellent if you want an enriching musical experience: playing with others, sharing the sound space, experiencing harmony, jamming and learning together.
Children under the age of 7 are encouraged to learn in a group setting. They learn a lot from each other and their listening skills improve faster than in private lessons, due to the group singing, ensemble playing and team playing.
How are groups for group music lessons divided?
Group lessons are typically divided by age range: ages 4-6, ages 7-9, ages 10-13, ages 14-17, and 18+.

Lafitte Music Center is an Authorized
My name is Jordane. I studied music and piano in the conservatories of Paris from age five, and have taught music for over 15 years to all ages and levels, in both group and private lessons. I have a very strong musical educational background as well as a fascination for new and natural ways of learning music.
It is my role as a teacher to inspire students and make them love music. The Yamaha Music Education System fits well with my philosophy that students should trust their ears while they play an instrument.
Some of my achievements:
• Piano Medal from the International Conservatory of Music in Paris, France. • Grand Prize of Music Theory • Music Composition Award • Yamaha Music Certified Teacher
