Private Piano Lessons
Ages 8 to Adult / All Skill Levels
Piano is one of those very few instruments where you can play both melody and harmony at the same time. It just takes a simple pressure from your finger to produce a sound, making it easy and satisfying for most beginners.
On a piano, you can also easily visualize theory concepts such as scales, chords, intervals, steps, etc. The fundamentals learned on a piano such as reading the bass and treble clefs, understanding harmonies and other theory concepts enable a pianist to easily transition to any other instrument.
Each of our lessons are tailored to each student. For beginners, it is important for us to keep the students motivated. Right from the first lesson, you will be playing a simple song, using one or both hands.
Our lessons are usually divided in 3 main sections:
1/ Warm ups: including scale, techniques, finger exercises
2/ Theory concepts directly applied to your “goal song”
3/ Goal songs: Could be a song of your choice arranged for your level by our teachers, or the teacher’s recommendation, depending on your path, or both.
In theory concepts, you will learn how to read treble and bass clef, harmonies and intervals, ear training, technique, sight-reading techniques, and theory.
Our teachers are qualified to teach you and bring you at any level, from beginners to advanced levels.
For young children under the age of 7 (from 3 to 7), we highly recommend joining our group classes, using the Yamaha Music Education System, focusing on ear training.
We host recitals every month in our performance hall. Every student of the music school can join and perform the music of their choice. It is also an opportunity for many to meet music friends and create groups and music ensembles.
We also host twice a year a Summer and Winter music festival, usually held over 2-3 days, where students perform their favorite music. Have a look at our videos HERE
During the preview, you’ll visit our music studios, discuss your musical goals or needs with your teacher, try the instrument, and talk about lesson details.
